Civil Investigation

What is a Civil Investigation?

A civil investigation uncovers and assembles evidence necessary for a civil trial.

What is the difference between a civil case versus a criminal case?

Civil cases are typically trials about a dispute between to citizens. Example: two citizens disagree on an issue that relates to their rights as citizens. For example, if one person sues another for damages cased by a driveway easement issue, the case will likely be conducted as a civil trial.

The accusatory party is usually seeking damages and/or compensation for the harm done. Private investigators can aid in this process to gather evidence in a reliable, legal manner.

Criminal cases are situations where someone is charged with a crime by the police.
