Koren Colbert is a Lieutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office with 25 years of experience currently assigned to the Domestic Violence Unit working with the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence (FCADV) in an effort to focus Domestic Violence cases on evidence based prosecution. Lt. Colbert is a Forensic Examiner with experience in latent prints and crime scene disciplines.  She holds a bachelors degree in criminology from Florida State University and a professional certification in Crime Scene Investigations (IAI), has supervised a Crime Scene Investigations Unit, and provides forensic evidence related instruction to law enforcement, crime laboratory personnel and others throughout the State of Florida.  She is a member and past President of the Florida Division of the International Association for Identification and served three elected terms on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Identification. Lt. Colbert currently co-chairs the Bay County Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board and Chairs the Crime Scene Investigations Sub-Committee for the International Association for Identification.
